"In our kitchen, no convenience products or flavor enhancers go into the cooking pot. Daily fresh cuisine characterizes our quality awareness," says Frank Schulz. In the "Genussrestaurant Habichtswald" you can take a seat in our romantic, rustic fairytale parlor or in the Genusspavillon. You are spoiled by the service team around family Holzinger and Mrs. Untermann. With their relaxed and cordial manner, they will always put a smile on your face and read (almost) every wish from your lips - try it out!

Germany's 3rd most beautiful premium hiking trail, the "Habichtswaldsteig" leads you durdch the Habichtswald Nature Park on 85km directly to Lake Eder. The entrance is directly opposite the "Emstaler Höhe". In Bad Emstal, 100km of circular hiking trails await you in the beautiful nature of the GrimmHeimat Nordhessen. Through forest and meadow you will experience myths, fairy tales and legends on the 400km long Märchenlandweg.


The perfect relaxation after hiking or strolling in the adjacent spa park with rose and medicinal herb garden can be found in "Grimm`s Badehaus". Here you can relax like in a fairy tale and recharge your batteries for your next hiking destination. In the evening, North Hessian and fresh, regional cuisine awaits you in the "Genussrestaurant Habichtswald".

Spend extraordinary hours of well-being in our "legendary" wellness area - "Grimm`s Badehaus".
